Because we’re a community of ocean and beer lovers who believe in a brighter, healthier, optimistic future for California’s coastlines and the planet. While it’s easy to get lost in the doom and gloom of environmental challenges, we choose a different approach—resilient optimism.  An attitude that highlights solutions, celebrates progress, and fuels action.  We do this by showcasing a different ocean expert each month, giving them the mic to share their work, ignite thoughtful discussion, and inspire hope.

Does that mean we’re ignoring the hard truths?  Not at all.  We recognize the urgency of the issues facing our oceans, and we know that real change requires both awareness and action.  However, we also believe that hope is a powerful force.  It keeps people engaged, inspires innovation, and prevents burnout.  By focusing on progress and solutions, we’re not dismissing the challenges; we’re building momentum to tackle them head-on.

That’s why we come together each month over local craft beer—to share ideas, motivate change, exchange stories, and, of course, raise our glasses to a more hopeful ocean future.
