Ocean Hoptimism

Ocean Hoptimism is a monthly Bay Area series spotlighting stories of ocean resilience, hope, and action—served with a side of craft beer and community connection.  Hosted with Faction Brewing in Alameda, we bring together ocean champions, storytellers, and community builders who know optimism isn’t just a feeling.  It’s a force for change and essential fuel for conservation.

We also recognize the headwinds:  environmental rollbacks, colleagues silenced or pushed out, funding slashed, hard-won protections erased.  Eco-grief is real, but it doesn’t have to be faced alone.  Each month we create a space for connection and renewal, where stories of hope and action recharge our batteries and keep us moving together.
