As we head into the season of gratitude, we’re reminded how thankful we are for you—for choosing to be part of the Ocean Hoptimism community. 💙
Your presence, curiosity, and hope make this movement what it is.
But gratitude means little unless it ripples outward. This month, we’re turning that thankfulness into action.
Sticker shock at the grocery store is hitting everyone—but for many East Bay families relying on food assistance, the ongoing government shutdown is making things even harder. So this month, Ocean Hoptimism and Faction Brewing are stepping up for our community.
Throughout the month of November, we’ll be hosting a Thanksgiving food drive to support the Alameda County Community Food Bank. You can bring your donation to the November 20 Ocean Hoptimism gathering (7–8 PM) or drop it off anytime during November at the Faction taproom.
Bring an unopened, unexpired, non-perishable food item—think canned meat, low-sodium soup, peanut butter, or cereal—to help local families this season. No glass jars, prepared, or perishable foods, please. 🙏
Every can counts.
And if you can’t make it to Faction, you’re always welcome to drop off your donation directly at the Alameda County Community Food Bank.
